Online event:  Recording on club member page

A fun and engaging start to the year.  Five of our club members decided to embark on new Paths in the Toastmasters Pathways programme in order to expand their horizons.

The range of topics was as varied and diverse as our members, and each of our speakers had a very helpful evaluation from an experienced Toastmaster.

In Life after life, Jenny shared how her experiences as a volunteer for The Samaritans led her into developing her skills in counselling and therapy, including studying for a master’s degree.

Steve’s speech, La ruta al éxito, allowed him to achieve one of his personal goals.  To deliver a speech in a foreign language.  This was the first time that we’ve had to add subtitles to a speech!

Patricia talked to us about entering The New Zone.  She shared with us how she developed her confidence and public speaking skills by joining Toastmasters…. well outside her comfort zone.

You are only one decision away from a different life

The question “Who are you, really?” that Venice posed (and answered) in her speech was thought-provoking.  She shared with us how a search for personal identity led to a better understanding of goals, and of service to others.

Run around!”  Lynne shared with us how she learned to love running – something she only really discovered in the past year.  From tales of cross-country running at high school to how learning to run more slowly helped her to speed up, Lynne’s speech was thoroughly entertaining and informative.

Sorry you missed it?

For the benefit of our members, we record many of our workshops and meetings. This allows them relive the moment or benefit from meetings they were unable to attend. If you're not yet a member, contact us to learn more.
